Temporarily Closed for redevelopment of a new Club, Memorial Park and residential precinct
Board Update to Club Members

The Willoughby Legion Ex-Services Club Limited was formed in 1945 and the "current" Club was opened in 1969.
The facilities were built a half-century ago, and the absence of any significant progressive upgrading left the community with a Club that was dated and not in a position to satisfy the expectations of current and future membership.
A strategic plan was developed by the Club’s Board that proposed a development that utilises the Club’s assets to add value to the local community while providing modern facilities to members and to preserve the heritage of the Club.
After many years of planning and community consultation the Heart of Willoughby development has now been approved by the State Government and includes a combination of a new Club, retail premises and luxury retirement living apartments with underground parking.
The Site was handed over to Hyecorp, the developers, in Sept 2022.
Deconstruction commenced immediately and the redevelopment is well underway.
The completion date is currently mid to late 2025.
